Business Management Software for Mobile Shear Sharpeners
Scheduling that thinks in routes. Billing that breaks out by person.
RIDELINE PRO connects your route, salon stops, billing for each groomer or stylist, customer history, rebooking, and reporting in one system built around the way mobile sharpening actually works.
Built and used every day by the team behind Shear Craftsman Sharpening.
Mobile day view
One salon stop isn't one customer.
The salon is the stop. The groomers and stylists inside it are the customers. One visit may include four or five people, each with different serviced items, totals, payment methods, discounts, and receipts.
ONE SALON STOP
- Stylist 1: Individual bill and receipt
- Stylist 2: Individual bill and receipt
- Stylist 3: Individual bill and receipt
- Stylist 4: Individual bill and receipt
Most programs force this into one customer record or one bill. RIDELINE PRO was designed around the actual sharpening workflow.

- Designed for mobile shear sharpeners — Rideline Pro is purpose-built for the trade, not adapted to it.
- One salon with several paying professionals — a single stop holds every customer inside it, each with their own account.
- Separate billing inside one physical stop — itemized bills, payments, and receipts per person, per visit.
- Geographic sharpening-route planning — stops organized by territory, month view on desktop, drive order on the phone.
- Recurring sharpening cycles — rebook visits at the right service interval so routes stay full.
- Connected customer, billing, and route history — the stop, the people, the money, and the calendar in one system.
General-purpose products may offer calendars, recurring jobs, maps, or invoicing. They are not purpose-built around one salon stop containing several independently paying professionals.
Built for sharpeners first.
Rideline Pro was made specifically for mobile sharpeners — every kind of sharpener: shear sharpeners on salon routes, and the same route planning, customer history, and recurring scheduling fits knife, clipper-blade, and lawn and garden tool sharpening. As it grows, the same system will serve other route-based service businesses — starting with the ones closest to the trade:
We built it because we needed it.
RIDELINE PRO was created by Ingra Aamodt and Scott Lankford of Shear Craftsman Sharpening after existing software failed to match the way their mobile sharpening business actually operated. It is not a theoretical workflow or a generic program adapted with workarounds. Shear Craftsman uses RIDELINE PRO to run its own routes, customers, billing, receipts, inventory, reporting, and day-to-day operations.

Ingra runs the routes, schedules, and books — and shows terriers in the same grooming world Shear Craftsman serves, so Rideline Pro is built by someone who lives on both sides of a salon visit.
What Rideline Pro is
Rideline Pro is business management software for mobile shear sharpeners. It plans geographic sharpening routes, manages salon stops, and bills each stylist at a stop separately — with individual itemized bills, payment records, and receipts.
Its two core differentiators are route-based scheduling built for the sharpening trade and per-person billing inside a single salon stop. Rideline Pro runs on desktop for monthly route planning and on phones for the working day. New sharpeners start with a 30-minute demo at ridelinepro.com/demo.html.

Is Rideline Pro only for shear sharpeners?
It was built for shear sharpeners first. Rideline Pro was developed inside a mobile shear-sharpening business, and its signature workflow — one stop, several professionals who each need their own bill and receipt — comes straight from salon routes. But the core of the system is specialty-neutral: route scheduling, customer history, itemized billing, inventory, and recurring visits work the same whatever you sharpen, and the service categories are yours to define — salons, restaurants, landscapers, farms, or equipment shops.
Will Rideline Pro work for knife, clipper-blade, or lawn and garden tool sharpening?
Yes. Rideline Pro was developed inside a mobile shear-sharpening business, but its route scheduling, customer management, service history, itemized billing, inventory and recurring-visit features can support many types of mobile sharpening businesses. Whether you service salons, restaurants, landscapers, farms or equipment shops, Rideline Pro keeps the stop, the serviced items, the billing and the next visit connected.
What can I do from my phone?
From the phone you see the day's stops in drive order, view the route map, access customer information, manage the salon visit, bill each stylist separately, record payments, issue receipts, rebook visits, and review reports. The phone carries the working day.
What requires the desktop?
The desktop monthly planning board is where you see the whole month, group stops by territory, move visits between days, hold tentative stops, and commit the route when it is ready. Planning happens on desktop; running the day happens on the phone.
Can I keep one salon location with several separate stylist accounts?
Yes. One salon is one location in Rideline Pro, and each professional inside it is their own customer with their own profile, serviced items, payment records, and visit history.
Can each stylist get a separate bill and receipt?
Yes. Every stylist at a stop gets a separate itemized bill, payment record, and receipt. You can mix cash, Venmo, and card payments across stylists, and fees and discounts are applied to the correct person.
Can I import my existing customer list?
Yes. Pro setup includes importing up to 100 salons from a spreadsheet or CSV (up to 1,000 salons on the $499 setup), and Ultimate setup includes up to 1,000 salons. Everyone inside each salon comes along — we count salons, not people. Paper records and photos are hand transcription, quoted separately. And there is no limit on how many salons your account can hold — you can always add more yourself; the numbers are only about how much we import for you. Basic subscribers enter their own customer information.
I'm a solo sharpener. Which plan fits?
Basic is built for solo sharpeners: one sharpener, one route. It includes per-person breakout billing, payment records and receipts, customer management, day and week scheduling, and your own Rideline Pro subdomain.
Can I add employees or additional routes?
Yes. Every plan includes unlimited logins, and Pro and Ultimate include team time clock and roles. Each additional route is $39 per month on Pro and Ultimate. A route is one sharpener running a concurrent route in a day.
Does Rideline Pro export to QuickBooks?
Yes. Rideline Pro produces QuickBooks-ready exports so your billing and business data move straight into your bookkeeping.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Service is month-to-month with no long-term contract. Cancel anytime; service runs through the paid term. An annual option pays for 11 months and gets 12, and annual plan subscribers get a pro-rata refund of the remaining unused months when canceling after the first 30 days. Month-to-month plans are not refunded; service runs through the paid month.
Who provides support?
Real people at Shear Craftsman — the same team that uses Rideline Pro every day. Ingra Aamodt, Operations, (854) 429-2060.
How do I schedule a demo?
Fill out the form at ridelinepro.com/demo.html. Demos run about 30 minutes, and every request gets a personal reply.
